  • Trauma and Attachment
  • Loss and Bereavement

Young Adults: Psychological Therapy and Mental Health Coaching

I have a special interest in the young adult developmental stage having worked with a wide range of presenting issues within this development group.  Emerging adulthood can be a time of optimism as there is hope for the future and increased wellbeing, however, it can also be a time of increased emotional distress due to increased focus on identity exploration and a desire to understand ones’ place in the world which may contribute to feelings of anxiety and depression and in turn lead to the adoption of maladaptive coping mechanisms.

My therapy practice Safespace2speak is focused on providing psychological therapy and Mental Health coaching to young adults between 18 – 28.  The sessions are tailored to each unique individual with an underlying focus on some of the main themes and presentations common to amongst client group.

Our sessions may be about specific issues such as;

  • a work, academic life or relationship dilemma.
  • a past situations and experiences,
  • current feelings of anxiety or depression and other symptoms.
  • feelings of being ‘stuck’ or a crossroads with a dilemma.
  • a lack of energy and motivation.

However you are feeling nothing is too big or too small to explore.
